Laura is a 2008 graduate of Rome High School, and currently a freshman at Georgia Highlands College in Rome. She was a 4 year Varsity Football and Competition cheerleader at Rome High School. In 2008, she was part of the GHSA State Finalist and State Runner Up team from Rome in the Coed division.

As an All Star Cheerleader, Laura has 8 years of competitive experience. She began her competitive cheerleading career as a member of the Hot Shots Youth All Star squad in 2001, and eventually competed through Level 5 as a member of the Hot Shots Senior Coed All Star squad, the first and only Level 5 squad in Northwest Georgia.

When asked why she coaches, Laura says �I love seeing my team at competitions and performances doing their very best and seeing them enjoying what they do. I love working with kids, which is what I want to do as a career. I have always love cheering, and I like sharing my knowledge with younger children so they can become better athletes!� When asked what makes her a GOOD coach, Laura says �I LOVE cheerleading, which means I put my heart into every practice and performance!� Laura also assists with the Rome High Junior Varsity squad and is an active participant in her church youth activities.
